I'thou pretty sure the verbal contents that are put on the clipboard are determined by a script on YouTube. Google's scripts are very complex, so I'm not inclined to dive into them myself.

For example, do you get to a video on YouTube and click the Share button, then the <> Embed button, so copy from in that location? And yous become different code depending on what browser y'all utilise?

Or is the problem when yous use a "widget" provided by the forum to add the embed code (the widget modifies the code in Firefox but non in other browsers)?

Or does the problem just appear when you lot edit a post that had an embedded video? There are some references to editing in the thread you linked to.

As the referenced thread describes, I was using standard Youtube practice. Nowadays there isn't always a "share" button - you accept to right-click in a video and select "re-create embed lawmaking."

Yes, it only produced the "div" when using Firefox on one account. Which doesn't explain what Firefox is doing to cause it. Maybe nothing - if I signed in on Edge it might do it? Might be something in the google cookie?
